Spring Retreat Advance May 2-3 2009

WNC Area Aglow Presents the 2009 Spring Advance Retreat

Future Training
Key #2- Preparation
Key#3-Multiplication
Key#4- Advancing

Key#1 -Identification
Learning to be free in who you really are and God’s original design for your life. Allowing God to be the God of Breakthrough in our lives, bringing heaven to earth.

“When you know who you are then you know how you are suppose to live within yourself and with others around you. You get access to a higher place than just knowledge. Come into the wisdom of God which always declares things from heaven to earth. Your perception is the problem not your circumstances. Ask questions in line with your identity. When people around you know your real identity then they act accordingly to that knowledge” —Graham Cooke, Aglow National Conference 2008

WNC August Newsletter

From Area President's Pen

I hope you are encouraged and benefiting from these Leadership Points your Area Team has been sending out. I'm continuing to emphasize Vision Building and Team Building along with the 4 Keys to advancing God's Kingdom in Western North Carolina.

VISION BUILDING for WNC:
Neh 2:20 The God of Heaven will give us success. We, His servants, will start Rebuilding! Hab. 2:2-3. Write the vision down (your vision or your team's vision) and run with it.

TEAM BUILDING for WNC:
Eph. 2:19-20 (emphasis mine) He put us together through the cross to build a home - A Holy Temple where we are all built INTO IT and He feels right at home among us.

These are archieved through '4' keys: IDENTIFICATION, PREPARATION, MULTIPLICATION AND ADVANCING.

Just one week after our Leadership Training, I attended John Maxwell's Leadership Simulcast entitled 'Advance'. I want to share a couple of highlights that I hope will strengthen you as you move forward in this God-given Strategy for WNC.

Of the many speakers on the Simulcast that day, the first one to speak was Spencer Tillman, a CBS sports analyst. He shared that to 'ADVANCE' you must first 'IDENTIFY' potential threats and perceived threats. Then you will be able to 'ADVANCE'. Here is where your contradictions (roadblocks) often come in: They must be identified.

As leaders, we need to question ourselves before the Lord and have people in our lives help us reach our goals and be accountable. In Aglow, ask yourself what do others see in us as individuals that would draw them to Jesus? What in our lighthouses needs to be changed? How can I be a part of making things better? How can I be an effective team member?

The second speaker at the Simulcast was Andy Andrews, author of The Travelers Gift, the story of a homeless man who got his life back. Andy referred to the 'Butterfly Effect' where everything we do matters and effects others. One person makes one move and that has a ripple effect. We PREPARE our personal lives so that we can be part of working corporately to MULTIPLY the work of the cross done in us.

Our choices determine our success.
Be someone people want to be around. Be a person of action. When you make a move, make it count. We can agree to disagree, but there is a time when we set our differences aside so we can move forward for a common good (This is TEAM BUILDING).

As a team, strive to get to a place where you are truly comfortable with yourselves as individuals and comfortable with each other as a team. Then you can effectively fulfill the call of God on your life with great joy. One way to do this is to put yourself in a place of accountability. This leaves room for mutual understanding with another person and opens the door to deeper and stronger relationships. This will also facilitate TEAM BUILDING whether in relationships at home, work or ministry.

When we work together in honesty and transparency, nothing will be impossible. God is for us. Who can be against us!

Something to Mediate on

For [if we are] in Christ Jeuss neither circumcision counts for anything, but only faith activated and energized and expressed and working through love. Gal 5:6 amp
My Spirit came to attention as I read this verse. Could this be a key for my faith level to grow and mature? The law or the traditions of men are not what spur us on to maturity. Faith being energized by love really got my attention, but faith working by or through love is what challenged me.

Heb 11:1 says "now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." I believe there is a connection between Faith, Love and Hope. Faith is dependent on hope and love to work. This could be a reason why our faith is not working at a level we would like to see. What a difference the ungodly would see if the body of Christ (or just us Aglow women) would start walking out God's kind of love. We all know that Faith without works is dead, we could also say that Faith without love is dead.

So if Faith is activated through love and energized through love, and faith works through love, it would behoove us ladies to begin living and walking in love.
1 John 4:7&8 "Beloved let us love one another, for Love is of God and everyone that loveth is born of God and knoweth God, he that loveth not, knoweth not God for God is love."

I would highly recommend reading the book "The Shack" by William P Young. You will experience the love of God in a new way.

Hebrews 4:16
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Psalms 36:7
How excellent is thy loving-kindness, O God! Therefore, the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Thy wings.

We can take every petition to the throne of God.

Choose life. Eat from the tree of life (trusting God daily). Take every situation (no matter what it is) to the throne for God's infinite wisdom, mercy, and help.
Remember we are already seated together with Him in all spiritual blessings.

Leadership Area Meeting

We are so blessed to have Janet Mangum our new Transformation Director and head over Missions from International Office speaking at our Leadership Area Meeting on August 29th, 2008. A special thinks to Asheville-Hendersonville who graciously accepted to host this meeting at the Montreat College dining room 12:30pm-4:00pm.

This meeting is part of fall leadership as well as working more closely with each lighthouse this fall, focusing on team building.

Here's more about transformation extracted from the www.Aglow.org website. I hope to see you all there!

Transformation - Aglow Mission Trips

Outreaches are all about God's transformation of people, of communities, of nations. When Jesus said, "Go ye into all the world..." He was talking about us, the bearers of His image, taking news of His transforming power to people who did not yet know it. He was talking about radical, down-to-the-bone-marrow change in the nature of human beings. That's transformation.

If you've been yearning to put yourself on the edge of your comfort zone and be part of an Aglow outreach, this is your chance to make a decision and go with our new Transformation Director, Janet Mangum!

WNC Newsletter

Western North Carolina – Aglow Area Team
January 27, 2008

From Area President’s Pen

Dear Leaders,

We all have increasingly become aware of the WIND OF GOD that has been blowing and many of you, as we are, have been experiencing a holding pattern. When the wind’s begin to pick up around us it requires greater ‘discernment and preparation’ as we press into the Wind to find our way. It takes strength, courage, determination and discernment.
Nehemiah rallied for one purpose in preparing for the War and preparing for the Building up the Walls/Gates of the City.

Yes, we have crossed over. We are identifying, preparing to multiply and advance. We need our eyes wide open to see what the needs are, consecrate our hearts for the journey that lies before each of us and prepare our teams to overcome so that we can Advance and Establish God’s Kingdom in our cities.

In this Newsletter, Pam Smith VP of Leadership, felt lead by the Holy Spirit to include what others (Delores Medley, Delores Hendley and Prayer Team Members) of the Body of Christ are hearing for WNC. As we do this, we are receiving the whole council of God.

So, join us as we gain strength and courage from one another to obtain discernment and determination to run the race that has been set before us.

Also be sure to make plans for each member of every Lighthouse Team and those serious about Aglow, to join us the 2nd weekend in April.

Nancy McGuirk will be joining us for a “special time of fellowship for our Leadership Gathering”.

Some of you will miss your lighthouse meeting, please know we understand, yet there are times when even Jesus drew away from the crowd’s to be with the Father. This will be a special time that will build you up so you can give out.
“Be Strong and of good Courage for the Lord your God goes with you”
Scripture to meditate on 2 Chron. 7:14, Nehemiah, Joshua 1,2,3,4, 2 Chron. 22, 2 Chron 8:1.

Running the race with you,
Jana Comer, Area President, WNC

Advancing the Kingdom
Vision for WNC – Jana Comer, Area President
“Unto us a great and effectual door is opened” 1 Corinthians 16:9.
“We are in 170 Nations, with Men groups in 10 Nations”
Eph 2: 19-22 (paraphrased The Message)
Christ brought us together through his death and resurrection. God is building a home (in WNC). He’s using us all---irrespective of how we got here---in what He is building (in WNC). He used the apostles and prophets for the foundation (Aglow Int’l. and Delores Medley’s vision for WNC -LYN). Now He’s using you, fitting you in brick by brick, stone by stone, (each LTH and AT) with Christ Jesus as the cornerstone that holds all the parts together. We see it taking shape day after day---a Holy Temple (individually and corporately) built by God, all of us built into it, a temple in which God is quite at home.
Dear Lighthouse Leaders,
As we move forward with God’s plans for ‘Transformation and Restoration’ there is much preparation in the “Building Process’. As I shared in my letter a few months ago. There are 4 requirements (listed below) that the Lord showed me we would need to put in place to “ADAVANCE HIS KINGDOM IN WNC:
1} IDENTIFICATION ~ Nehemiah saw his homeland in need of much repair, walls and gates were broken down, and his people scattered. He prayed for forgiveness and He sought God’s heart and surveyed the needs in the land. He rallied the leaders to oversee the areas in need of repair. They renewed their commitments and did not neglect the House of the Lord (House of Aglow). They put their “SWORDS” in one hand and did there work with the other. They worked in unity with one another and with all their hearts. They set up guards day and night.
Neh. 1, 2, 3 and 4: 6,9,17.18. Neh. 10:5, 9, 11, 39. They brought their contributions into the storehouses along with the GATEKEEPERS and WORSHIPERS;they said “We will not neglect the house of our God. (House of Aglow} See also 2 Chron. 7:14, Isa. 58 Exodus 23:20-25.
2} PREPARATION ~ David desired to build a Holy Temple for God and yet God gave the task to the next generation, his son Solomon to build it, yet David made the preparation and the provision for its building. David prepared to fulfill God’s heart for the next generation. 1 Chron. 22.
3} MULTIPLICATION ~ Solomon built the Temple for God and then turned his energies into building people and its cities. He relocated the people; He fought and conquered the enemies of God. He built cities, He fortified them, He built up the Body of Christ to govern the people and He followed his father’s instructions and ultimately He multiplied what God gave him and satisfied His heart, he prepared for the next generation, just as his father David did, but he multiplied what he had and advanced the Kingdom of God. 2 Chron. 8:1-6.
4} ADVANCING ~ Joshua consecrated his heart and the hearts of the people. He established God’s presence and advanced the kingdom wherever God lead him. He obtained strategy to prepare the people for the crossing over into their Promised Land. He identified the needs and what held them back, He prepared and consecrated their hearts. God multiplied there resources and through their obedience and courage, God gave them Victory and they took the Land. They advanced the Kingdom of God.! Josh.1, 2, 3, 4.
God is looking for a dwelling place in each of our hearts as well our lighthouses to make an impact on our Cities for God. He is looking for Warrior Brides, where each of us are carrying our swords, and establishing His presence in our Cities. He’s looking for leaders willing to lay aside their agenda’s to get His, for the building up of the Body of Christ through Aglow to “Establish His Presence and Take the Land for the Kingdom of God!”
You have already been receiving much news from us and International on the “I” Mandate. North Carolina especially Western has been infiltrated with many cells groups. We need to be “Establishing His Presence” to push the darkness out.
We are making plans for visiting each of you in the coming year, to assist in the restoration process of rebuilding any walls, gates and foundations that are in need of repair. Please let us know when you would like for us to come. Our hope is to build relationship through our love for you and to impart strength and hope for your ‘New Beginning’ in this New Year.
“Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God goes with you wherever you go”.
Delores Medley
LYN Mid-Atlantic Resource
Dear Leaders,

2008 has opened a new chapter in our lives; God is calling each of us to accept a new responsibility to lead people across the Jordan into the Promised Land. We must be willing to go forward to claim our spiritual inheritance. Every blessing God gives us comes with a measure of responsibility, and we need to take that responsibility seriously.
God has blessed our region with LYN; it is time to arise and posses the land God has given to each of us and to stand against the enemy. “If indeed you fulfill the royal law in accordance with the scripture, you shall love your neighbor as yourself, you do well”. James 2:8. God has given us the tool of His Love to bring the lost into the lighthouses in our Region. God had already given the Israelites the Promised Land, but they did have to fight for possession of it, so it is with the souls of those in our neighborhoods, cities, and towns. The Israelites had to believe that God would help them conquer the enemies who stood between them and the Promised Land, and they had to trust that He would miraculously get them across the strong, swift current of the Jordan River when it was so high that it was overflowing its banks. Not only did they have enemies to fight on their way to the Promised Land, they also had enemies to fight once they got there. Reach out to the lost, they represent the Promise Land, we must see as God sees.
I had the opportunity to share LYN with my church family during Christmas to reach out to the lost. We had (5) new births to take place. Joshua had to be courageous himself, but he also needed to inspire courage in the people. I pray that you, like Joshua, will be strong and courageous in your everyday life to possess the land of the hearts of lost souls. Press forward with boldness into everything God has for you.
I thank God for each of you and I am available to come and inspire you with God's love to reach out to those who are lost. I can be reached at (704) 422-3818 or e-mail demed@ctc.net .
Love & Blessings,

Comments
The wave is building (receeding from the beach but building to crash). Things will be worked out of people (no more “whiney” Christians”). This is not the year to be focused on ourselves but it’s about the BIG picture. Like Nehemiah, a sword in one hand and a brick in the other.
Carol Uselman- East Gate
Pray over the gates. Repair the breached walls like Nehemiah. Our walls have got to be strong; fortified. We can’t afford to have places where the enemy can come in. Move quickly in prayer; must be able to go forth (almost attack). We must be like watchman on the walls and covered (prayer arrows going back and forth). Receive and send forth quickly.
Dianne Childers- West Gate
John 20:18-23 - Vs. 22 -And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost; we need to receive his God breathed peace daily. Receive his peace in every situation.

Many Blessings Movement of The Lord,
You and I have a daily choice to make: to eat from the tree of life (trusting God daily), and not the tree of knowledge of good and evil (this world’s experiences and worry).
As we each pursue the Kingdom of God and His purpose for WNC, we will each understand by and by that the power of His covenant is in AGREEMENT.
I would like to share two strategic points with you:
1) Dial in! (through Prayer, Word and Worship). And Remember that the enemy of our soul desires to keep us looking and living in the past (good or bad) and not moving forward.
There are many things (good and bad) to distract us from pursuing the Kingdom of God and what he is doing NOW. For example, many times I have thought to see the mighty moves of God from former times today, and although I am thankful to God for past moves of the Spirit, I can not move forward looking back. We must see God at work in our lives today and get involved with what He is doing NOW. God is so creative, and He desires us to fulfill our destiny in Him as living epistles for this dispensation, moving forward.
2) Remember to pray with the heart of God, releasing life and grace!
When we are judged by God, he provides conviction of that sin. Then life comes because we repent, giving us a way of escape, grace, life, and forgiveness.
However, when mankind judges a person, he seldom considers that… if it were not for God, we could be doing the same thing. And unlike God, we don’t usually extend mercy, grace, life, or a way of escape. Many friendships end because of an offense, grace was not extended, or a judgment demanding justification.
Let us remember to pray with the heart of God (for Islam, Israel, WNC, relationships, and etc.) bringing them with us to the alter of prayer by Spirit and AGREEMENT that God can bring conviction, repentance, forgiveness, life, mercy, grace, and a way of escape. Elijah House inspired.
Joyce McCarty – Area, VP Administration
God has created us for His glory. He wants us to be a reflection of His joy, love, compassion and grace so that people around us recognize Him at work in us.
God has been speaking to me concerning my vision and setting goals for this month and also for the year. Proverbs 29:18 says “… without a vision the people will perish.” God has been encouraging me to write my vision down, making it plain, and I would encourage you to do the same. Our vision can be broad and will keep us centered in what His desire is for us.
Jeremiah 29:11 say “For I know the plans I have for you….” God will help us capture His vision for our life, “plans for good and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Goals will help us focus our efforts each day and plan our schedules. I know with more order in my day I am able to accomplish more with less energy used. The end result will bring balance to our lives. Remember that His primary purpose for us is to be more like Jesus, and to glorify Him in spirit, soul and body.
Ladies, I bless you with being filled with complete and overflowing joy, knowing that Jesus loves you as the Father loves Him. I bless you with that rich love of your Father.
I bless you with knowing deep in your spirit that your Father’s favor is upon you; He likes you; He enjoys you; He takes pleasure in who you are today, regardless of what you are doing or have done. I bless you with creative and unique reminders of your Father’s love for you. I bless you in the name of Jesus of Nazareth. Taken from “Blessing Your Spirit” by Arthur Burk.
Be Blessed Today
Love Letter for The Bride of ChristSubmitted by Delores Hendley
Note: While in prayer & fasting for a long period of time. The Lord gave me this Love Letter to the Bride of Christ.
I have Loved you with an Everlasting Love. You are mine. I have called and chosen you from the foundations of the world. You are mine! “MANY ARE CALLED, BUT FEW ARE CHOSEN.” I have you in the palm of my hand. Therefore you are protected from the enemy. There is a Bloodline around you that the enemy cannot penetrate. You must however stay under the Blood, Love me and keep my Commandments.
This is a new day, I say this is a new season. You must work while it is day for night comes and no one can work. A lot is at stake this season. Stay in your positions, and stay under the Blood. I am calling my Deborah’s to arise in this hour. Deborah’s I say unto you, ARISE! I am calling forth my Barak’s to come forth. Come forth Barak’s, I say unto you COME FORTH! Come forth Oh Mighty Men and Women of Valor, COME FORTH! The battle before you is very important both for Israel and the United States. The stakes are very high! Call forth the Intercessors! Intercessors take your places! Do not move off the wall, nor move out of position. Prayer and fasting must come up before me. Joel 2: 15, 17 tells us to pray, fast & weep between the porches and the altars that the heathen do not rule over your heritage, (Children).
I have called you to prayer and fasting to prepare you for the evil days ahead. You will surely face the enemy face to face in this season. You will assault the gates of hell. I say you shall be used in a greater measure than you have in years past. You will walk upright before me, you will have my whole armor on, you will have a sharp-two-edged sword in your mouth and the shield of faith in your hand to quench the fiery darts of the enemy. You are my bride without spot, wrinkle or blemish. You will carry my glory in the earth. You will use my name and walk in the light. You will have my power and my authority to build my kingdom in the earth. The devil knows who you are, I say, “yes the devil knows who you are.” Be not afraid for he also knows that I, the Greater One lives in you. I have the keys to death, hell and the grave. I give you the keys, I say I give you the keys to the Kingdom. You will have the power to bind (forbid) or loose (release) things in the earth and they will be bound or loosed in heaven. Walk, I say walk in that power! Church take the Keys, I say unto you take the Keys!
You are My Bride, My End-Time Army. I have raised you up for this hour and you shall shake the very foundations of hell and the demons will tremble. Gross darkness is covering the earth, but My Light, My Glorious Light is rising upon you, My Church, My Bride. You will not be afraid to speak to the very gates of hell. You will say, Oh gates of darkness fall down, Oh gates of darkness fall down, Oh gates of hell give way, Oh gates of hell give way. Oh gates of hell topple, Oh gates of hell topple. Give up, I say give up those that are bound in chains of darkness and iniquities, that are held in transgressions and sins.
Give them up I say Oh gates give them up! Give up our loved ones, give them up for the word says in Jude 1: 22, 23: And of some have compassion, making a difference. And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
I say I have call you to prayer and fasting for even Isaiah 58: 6 Says: Is not this the fast I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness to undo the heavy burdens and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke!
Our people must be delivered, the harvest must be set free. Matt. 17: 21 says
Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
My Beloved Bride, know that I loved you so much that I gave my life in payment (ransom) for you.

In Rev. 4: 11 it tells that You are and you were created for my pleasure!
In Rev. 22: 4 it tells that My bride shall see my face and my name shall be in their forehead.
In Rev. 22: 17 it says that My Bride and Spirit will say Come, All that are athirst Come, let whosoever will Come!
In Rev. 22: 20 My Bride will be calling me to Come, Lord Jesus, Come!
In Rev. 19: 8 You will be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white. This will be your righteousness.
In Rev. 19: 7 it speaks of my marriage (The marriage of the Lamb) is coming and you, My wife will be made ready and I will be your husband!
In Rev. 21: 3 it says that you, Oh Bride will be adorned for your husband.
1 Thes. 4: 16, 17, & 18: it says: Be ready, be watching and waiting, For I shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with the trump of God; the dead in Christ shall rise first, then those which are alive shall be caught up in the clouds to meet me in the air, and so shall they ever be with Christ. Notes from Seattle – Highlights for Focus

Notes from Seattle, Wa. Conference 2007

Jane Hansen: Watch for the mocking spirit that says you can’t do that. Jesus had to go through the desert to get to transformation. It is the season for ‘Serious Business’ for God’s women.

Che’ An: To see Revival we need to see OUR LIFE IS NOT OUR OWN. It’s time for Radical Obedience. Repent over doubt and complacency. Live a consecrated life. Repent over doubt and complacency. Live a consecrated life.

Lou Engle: There is a John the Baptist anointing be released. A SIGNIFICANT YEAR OF CONSECRATION. Be careful! He’s looking for people to make war and take dominion. Where’s your passion, find it. You cannot go into the future until you fulfill your purpose today. He’s looking for an army of believers daring to do Big things.

Jane Hansen: time of Dedication, turn aside from things—a time of Holiness unlike any other we have seen. Get rid of legalism. Get into the deep things of God. It will only come through brokenness. It’s time for Boards to hear what God is saying! A TIME OF INTENSE LISTENING. Whatever He says do it! Don’t walk in old ways.

Robert Stearns: It is time to SHIFT, AWAKE, and ARISE to the next level, the next season. Let go of what needs to be let go of. Shift from addition to multiplication! STOP RESPONDING TO THE ATMOSPHERE AND ESTABLISH THE ATMOSPHERE, through your shout and your praise. Lift your voice….YOU ARE MUCH MORE DANGEROUS THAN YOU LOOK. A new breed of leaders are coming forth. God likes it loud. His voice is Loud….listen for the NEW SOUND. There’s a breakthrough in your shout. It’s a bold demanding sound in your spirit. Discern what is happening. He is bringing government order and structure to the Body of Christ. Time to get things in order. Sons of Issachar discerned the times. This is a TRANSITIONAL year. Am. 9:11 He is aligning us…the old has died! He’s aligning us with heavens time table. PUT ON THE ZEAL OF THE LORD like a cloak, a forerunner preparing the way….

Chuck Pierce: Aglow will lead……….there is a momentum to be formed. We must gain momentum this year, transformed into a Revolution. We are moving from transition to momentum. This is the FEAST OF TABERNACLES YEAR Neh. 8. There is a shifting of Mantles. Spend your time praising and worshiping, declaring and celebrating. There are strategies to open doors. Season of labor is completed and we are coming into a new Season of where we have labored. Women have a voice “An expression will come forth. GIVE EXPRESSION TO THE VOICE OF GOD. HE’S COMING DOWN IN OUR MIDST. BE CAREFUL IN YOUR WORSHIP.
If we do not SHIFT FROM OUR OLD SEASON IT WILL BECOME OUR NEW SEASON. THERE IS A SOUND……TO COME FORTH. THE SOUND FROM THE OLDER GENERATION MUST COME TO BRING FORTH THE NEXT GENERATION. BE A FORCE AND TAKE DOMINION!

These were a few notes from each speaker. It always helps me to hit the highlights to get focused. Hope this helps you- Jana Comer, WNC President

From Our President’s Pen – Jana Comer, WNC Pres.
Dear Lighthouse Leaders,
As you can see the overall theme from Conference reveals us in a unique time in the earth. It is a ‘significant year of Consecration’, discern the times and make Transition and a ‘Shifting from our old season into a new season’. Break out of the old and into the new or your new season will be your old season (again).
As I shared in my recent letter there will be 4 unfolding requirements the Lord gave me for WNC. The first we will be walking out will be “Identification”. As the Lord directs, you will be receiving “Leadership Points’ in various ways in the coming year as He guides us for WNC to make a SHIFT into our defined destinies: on a personal level and a corporate level, the first one being this newsletter to keep you up to date on what is going on at International and in WNC.

In a book by Larry Randolph called ‘The Coming Shift’, he proposes several questions throughout his book taken from John 21, to help the Body of Christ ‘Identify’ what holds you back from making a Shift into the new Move of the Holy Spirit to align yourself with the Kingdom mentality that will bring Revival. His first question is a Direction Shift: “You know you are fishing from the wrong side of the boat when Jesus re-directs your attention else where”! selah…………….. Then Part 2 opens with “You know you are fishing from the right side of the boat when obedience brings you into full contact with your Destiny”.
Look for more insights to come from your Area Leadership Team as we have begun to walk through the first requirement “Identification”. Our ultimate goal is to be Transformed into His Image (personally and corporately) to fulfill His purposes in the earth today, bringing us into complete alignment with the Kingdom of God well prepared and equipped to bring in the harvest. But………..there is a journey to get there.
Destiny is not a place you arrive at, it is a journey that is more about who you become in the process.
I’m praying ‘STRENGTH’ for us all on the journey, and ‘JOY ‘in removing the obstacles that hold back the Kingdom of God, coming forth in each of us, and the breath of God to propel us forward.
Leading the journey,
Jana – wnc

Many Blessings Ladies,
A simple scripture (Matthew 6:9-13) is what our Lord ministered to my heart at Conference in Seattle, Wa. He ministered to me that I should speak this scripture to myself daily, preferably in the mornings (before I start my day). At that time, I tried to figure out what it meant. Later on, the week after conference, I received solid revelation as to why:
This prayer asks that God's pattern in heaven be brought to earth (thine will be done on earth as it is in heaven). What's going on in heaven? Worship and intercession! And Jesus himself is at the right hand of God making intercession for US! The elders are casting their crowns and the angels are singing holy, holy, holy (this is hallowed be his name!). God wants us to bring this to earth. I also believe that this is "what it looks like" when Chuck Pierce said at conference that worship will walk the earth this year.
Gear up ARMY OF THE LORD! We need more worship and intercession (we heard it over and over at conference!). Thus the Word S.W.I.F.T (strategic warfare intercessory focus team) continues to confirm itself. Don’t wait to go to another worship service or another prayer meeting. Dig your own well! Our first eternal calling and destiny is to worship him.
And I believe, if we answer this calling first, the other callings and mantles that are destined in our lives will fall in place. God will give us our daily bread in worship. Bread that will keep us from evil and allow us to walk in forgiveness (sounds like manna to me).
"Thine Kingdom come, Thine will be done" is a call to be under the discipline of the Holy Spirit and allow God to bring THE KINGDOM (Kingdom principle and thinking) into every area of our life (personally, corporate, marriage, finance, business, local Church, Aglow, children, grand-children, and etc.).
Once you say "YES" for the Kingdom, the shift begins to take place bringing you into Kingdom minded-ness.
And as our President continues to define the vision for WNC, we must say "YES" to make the shift into the vision for WNC.
Remember............. you are saying "YES" to God. And God has a purpose for each of us, individually and corporately in His Kingdom.
Remember............. you are saying "YES" to God. And God has a purpose for each of us, individually and corporately in His Kingdom.
We will be an intentional force that brings about an influential change in someone's life to prompt them to move forward in the Kingdom. Simple, but tested, tried by fire and found true.
Love,
Pamela Smith- WNC, VP
SAY YES FOR THE KINGDOM!
FINANCIAL –SHIRLEY “DEAN” HOWEY
Dear Lighthouses,
It is hard for me to believe that Fall is already here, and Christmas (Jesus Birthday) is around the corner. Hope each one of you had a wonderful summer in the Lord Jesus Christ praising and worshiping our Savior. The area team wants to thank all of the Lighthouses for all that are sowing financially into the Area Team (W.N. C.) and ask those who do not to pray about doing so. Each Lighthouse should give to the Aglow International and to your Area Board.
As you know there are many expenses incurred as we travel to be trained and travel to train the Lighthouses. Money you send to us is used wisely, we also tithe to International, Mid-Atlantic region and to our State Prayer Coordinator. While our funds get low at times, God has never failed to bless our obedience. He will do the same for each Lighthouse. There are three Biblical terms denoting the three methods of giving.
1. Tithe-Is 10% and should be paid regularly as we receive our wages, God has ordained the tithe as a financial mainstay of his Church.
In a sense a tithe is really “Hot Money” because it really does not belong to us. I believe that when you take an offering in your Lighthouse meeting you should give to International and to your Area Board. It is better to live on a blessed 90% than a cursed 100%. Just remember in God’s hands, little is much.
2. Offering-In the scripture the term is always used in reference to a sacrifice offering. They are additional, meant to meet a specific need but we need to remember to give with a joyful heart for God loves a cheerful giver. Hebrews 11:4 tells us that God accepted Abel’s offering because of the righteous of right standing before him.
3. Alms-The Greek word for alms simply means compassion. It is related to doing good or relieving the oppressed or of giving to the poor. Jesus said “When thou do alms, let not your left hand know not what your right had doeth, that your alms may be in secret and our Father which seeth in secret, himself shall reward you openly”. Matthew 6:3-4 alms are over and above the tithe, and are a personal gift from man to man. Please remember that little is much in God hands, and when you give with a cheerful heart God has his big shovel giving back to you and blessing you.
Submitted Respectfully With Love,
Dean, W.N.C.V.P. of Financial Development

Getting Straight For 2008

For the New Year we hear so many in the prophetic now saying to start fasting and get ready for the things to come. You may think to yourself that your straight because you pray, do daily devotions, you're active in a church, involved in a Christian group or maybe you're doing signs and wonders that amaze others through the power of the Holy Spirit. If the enemy knows the word better than us than how much more does he know our faults that have been exploited openly everywhere we went. No matter how holy we try to live in a purified holy righteous lifestyle there will be some cracks in our foundation as we grow in Christ. Just as smoke cuts off the proper circulation disabling our functions from effectively working properly so does the pollution from the enemy. We sometimes allow ourselves to get polluted from things like the tv, radio, conversations that the enemy tries to get us trapped in, gossip, distractions, our mindset, religion and not spending that time with God or in his word, which binds us from the purity of his blessings. It can block us from intimate times with our Lord where he pours out the most incredible revelations and secrets of things we haven't heard nor seen yet. After all nothing is new to a creator but its' fresh for the creation as each piece starts coming together to form the image.

Our shield is the breastplate of righteousness which is to me being set apart living a holy God fearing lifestyle out of intimacy with our creator. The breastplate of righteousness shields the fiery darts of the enemy because we have prepared our hearts to be so in tune with the will of God through obedience, humility and sacrifice by professing the word that flows through our veins cutting through the forces or darkness pulling down the strongholds. God is asking to all generations "how much are you willing to give up in a process to gain it all for the kingdom of Heaven"?

I love what Michael Tate wrote in the book Jesus Freaks, DC Talk and The Voice Of The Martyrs. "I have crossed the line from innocent bystander to hardcore participant to what Jesus has called me to."

Is there oil in our lamp stands for his return? Are you ready?

A Warm Welcome to Western North Carolina

The word for WNC is "Transformation and Restoration", as God builds His home in us and 'Establishes His Presence' we will be well equipped to take the Land for the Kingdom of God! Eph. 2:19-22 (message paraphrased) Christ brought us together through his death and resurrection. God is building a home (in WNC). He's using us all--irrespective of how we got here--in what He is building (in WNC). He used the apostles and prophets for the foundation (Aglow Int'l and past Area Team Vision/LYN). Now He's using you, fitting you in brick by brick, stone by stone, (each Lighthouse and Area Team)with Christ Jesus as the cornerstone that holds all the parts together. We see it taking shape day after day--a Holy Temple (individually and corporately) built by God, all of us built into it, a temple in which God is quite at home........

Just as the Patriarch's Joshua, David, Solomon and Nehemiah 'Prepared the Way for the Lord', they also 'Established a Place for His Presence to come in fullness' so it is with Western North Carolina.

WNC is in preparation to be built into a Holy Habitation for God's presence to abide... and ~be quite at home~
